GOLDEN DAYS FESTIVAL RULES

Golden Days Festival is committed to providing a safe event enjoyable to all persons and therefore the following rules are in place. We ask that you respect the happiness and wellbeing of other festivalgoers at all times.

 ALCOHOL

In the interest of customer enjoyment, health and safety; Golden Days offers low and mid-strength alcohol beverages, non-alcoholic beverages and a large variety of food vendors.

Any person wanting to consume alcohol in the licensed area must be over 18 years. Identification must be show to enter the licensed area. Fines apply as per liquor licensing laws for persons caught in the licensed area under 18 years and immediate eviction from the festival.

Any person caught bringing alcohol into the festival will be evicted by security.

Golden Days Festival supports the responsible service and consumption of alcohol. Golden Days staff is instructed to refuse service to customers who display sign of intoxication, aggression or argumentative behaviour.

We ask that you do not drink and drive and that you make appropriate travel plans before the festival as we have been assured there will be RBT’s everywhere during and after the event.

We ask that you do not drink alcohol outside the event perimeter or on David Low Way and do not sit outside the venue to view the show. This will be enforced by the Local Police and Special Forces Police.

We have a very good relationship with our Local Police and know they are very reasonable and friendly. Any issues will be dealt with by the accordance of the law.

 IDENTIFICATION

Golden Days Festival only accepts the following forms of identifications

a)    Australian State or Territory Driver Licence

b)    Passport

c)    Government issued proof of identity

d)    Victorian key pass

e)     International Drivers Licence (must contain a photo)

Overseas Australian student cards are not acceptable ID. Persons unable to provide one the above forms of ID will be treated as a minor and receive an under 18’s wrist band and be subject to the rules associated with minors. Age is determined at the date of the festival not at the purchase date.

Youth and Pension ticket holders must present proof of age or pension cards on entry to the festival (seniors cards are not accepted). The balance of the ticket price will be payable on entry if this proof is not shown and entry will be denied if not paid.

CHILDREN

Persons under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible guardian over the age of 25 at all times. Age of child is determined at the date of the festival not at the purchase date.

 TICKETS & WRISTBANDS

Any person trying to sneak in without a ticket will be evicted and not permitted to enter.

Tickets are to be redeemed at the event for wristbands in order to gain entry and re-entry. Wristband must be worn for the whole day. Broken or used wristbands will not be honored.

Golden Days staff will ask to see wristbands and may ask for identification in order to determine your age prior to entry to bar areas or service points. Failure to comply with such requests will result in refusal of service and removal from the premises.

BANNED ITEMS. WHAT YOU CAN NOT BRING

It is a condition of entry that by law you submit to a search of person or possessions on entry to the venue if we decide to take such action.

No alcohol or illicit drugs are to be brought into the festival site by law and will be removed. Refusal of entry will apply if this is attempted.

No animals, glass, eskys, chairs & umbrellas (see below for exclusions), lasers, fireworks, weapons, video cameras or professional cameras are permitted on the festival site.

Audio or visual recordings of the event are prohibited. Professional cameras or video recorders of any kind are not allowed unless representing media for the festival with prior approval. Small still cameras including digital are permitted but images may only be used for private purposes and not public display. Patrons offer consent to be included in film and sound recordings of the event and for these recordings to be used by the event organizer.

Folding chairs e.g. directors chairs or deck chairs are no longer permitted in the festival grounds. COLLAPSING SMALL CAMPING CHAIRS are permitted in the designated areas only. Please be aware that there are chairs provided in the undercover area if you get there early :)

Rain umbrellas are not permitted as they can be potentially used as weapons. SMALL BEACH UMBRELLAS may be brought along for shade purposes. YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO MAKE HOLES IN THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS for these umbrellas and YOU MUST NOT OBSTRUCT the view of other festival participants. If you are asked to move by a festival staff member, due to safety or obstruction reasons, please do so.

Picnic Rugs may be brought into the venue but must be kept in the back half of the park in all areas.

CROWD SURFING

For the interest of safety of all patrons attending the festival, crowd surfing is prohibited. Offenders will be removed from the festival immediately by security.

PARKING

Please park in the designated areas as show on the parking plans. Unfortunately if you park outside the festival, along the David Low Way you will be fined by police. Organise parking/transportation/shuttle buses beforehand and don’t let this be the end of a great night.
